Ingredients:
  • 4 Paua, tenderised
  • 2 rashers lean bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp boiling milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • The Grove Avocado oil for frying
Method:
  1. Chop bacon and paua and blend in a food processor.
  2. Beat egg and first measure of milk together.
  3. Mix baking powder with boiling milk, and add to egg mixture.
  4. Stir in the sifted flour, mix until smooth and add paua mixture, parsley and onion.
  5. Cook spoonfuls of mixture in hot avocado oil until golden, serve immediately.
Makes: 14-20 nuggets
